The Batam Center Ditch is Now More Beautiful with the Beauty of Ornamental Fish
An extraordinary encouraging action took place at Batam Center International Harbor on Saturday.
Through an exclusive upload on the Instagram account @ Pos_polisi_BatamCenter , we can see how the police united with local residents to carry out an extraordinary cleanup in a previously forgotten and trash-filled gutter.
As a result, the ditch that was once dirty and unattractive has now turned into a charming place.
If you’ve ever dreamed of a sewer similar to the scenery of Japan, then your dream may have come true. This ditch is now decorated with beautiful fish that swim beautifully in the water.
One family, a husband and wife and their child, seemed to be enjoying a beautiful moment in the Batam Center gutter which had just been transformed into this amazing place.
Pointing to the fish swimming in it, they happily said, “The children want to see this, Mas!”
Not only does it provide stunning aesthetics, filling the gutters with ornamental fish also provides more comfort to those who usually wait for passengers around the port, including online motorcycle taxi workers.
“If it’s like this, it’s nice to be able to calmly watch the fish swim and the gutters are clean again,” said one of the online motorcycle taxi workers, Wahyu.
This is a clear example of how collaboration between authorities and residents can turn a place that was once a problem into a tremendous asset. With determination and shared enthusiasm, this ditch is now clean and charming.
One of the residents who took part in the gutter cleaning action commented, “We together with the police at the Batam Center post, Mas, last Saturday did this clean up.”
