Ardi said that the Dendang Melayu Tourist Area is always busy with visitors, especially on weekends. They estimate that 2,500 people visited the area.

“This tourist attraction is always of interest to local and foreign tourists,” emphasized the Head of the Batam City Culture and Tourism Office. In the Dendang Melayu area, there is a spot for taking selfies with the words ‘Barelang Bridge’ in the background.

Apart from that, visitors can take photos with a view of the sea and mangroves from the top of the hill. Apart from the selfie photo spot with Dendang Melayu written on it, tourists can also enjoy various typical Malay culinary delights at the location.

At the same time, you can also eat grilled corn which is offered by many sellers at the location. For one entry, there is a fairly affordable vehicle parking fee, $0.43 SGD.
