Pancur Lingga Village, Hong Kong Face in Riau Islands
Even though it is located on the seashore, the feel of the seaside settlement in Pancur, Lingga Regency, Riau Islands (Kepri), is like being on the edge of a lake.
When looking far ahead, there is no horizon line between the earth and the sky, you can see a group of undulating hills with white clouds floating above them.

The majority of Pancur residents are of Chinese descent from the Hakka group. The Hakka are one of the Han Chinese groups, the largest in the People’s Republic of China.
The Hakka were the last Han group to migrate south from Northern China, in stages.
Namely since the 4th century AD, due to natural disasters, war and conflict.
The standard of Pancur people trade, making Pancur one of the business cities in Lingga.
Grocery shops line the riverbanks, with wide aisles making it easy for traders and buyers to mingle to carry out transactions.

Chic Floating City
Houses on stilts line the riverbanks, connected together to form a floating city, neatly lined up with large sections connected to form a comfortable road on the riverbank.
Apart from Daik and Dabo, in Lingga Regency, the economic pulse can also be felt in Pancur.
Namely, the sub-district in the north of the district is famous for its Mount Daik landscape.
The trade and fisheries sector is the lifeblood of the sub-district, and Lingga Island in general.
Apart from markets and transportation access, the pulse of the economy is also here, namely the existence of Bank Riau Kepri in Pancur Village.
Apart from concentrating on the sub-district economy, Pancur is also a cultural center, especially Chinese culture.

You could say, Pancur is Chinatown on Lingga Island.

Like other Chinatowns in the Riau Islands, Pancur Chinatown is also closely linked to certain tribes. Namely, Teochew is the dominant Chinese tribe in the location.
