Enjoy the Exotic Tourist Destination Blue Lake Bintan
Bintan Island, which is located in the Riau Islands , is a popular tourist destination among tourists. This blue lake was not formed naturally, but was the result of a depression created during sand mining.
Summarized from various sources, Telaga Biru Bintan was once a sand mining area. In the 1980s, mining products from here were exported to Singapore.
However, during the Soeharto administration, mining was stopped and left alone. The sand hole is then filled with rainwater and forms a lake.
As the name suggests, this place has a blue water surface. However, not all surfaces are uniformly blue, some are green and turquoise.
The panorama of the lake water becomes even more spectacular in the sun. Seeing this lake at a glance is like witnessing the beauty of the ocean.
Remnants of mining sand are still visible on the edge of the lake and resemble beach sand. Telaga Biru is surrounded by a type of sand mound covering an area of 6000 hectares and is made of hardened sand.
This strip of sand forms sand dunes which make the impression of the desert even more clearly visible. Tourists can enjoy various activities at Lake Biru, from enjoying the natural beauty, taking photos at various interesting places, to renting a raft or canoe to explore the lake.
