Hutan Lindung Bukit Kucing
There is a unique and possibly the only tourist attraction in the world, which is located in Tanjungpinang, Riau Islands, called the Bukit Tikus Protected Forest area.
This Forest Area is very unique. If you look at Google Map , you will see this forest area like a picture of a heart or Love. Therefore, this forest is also often called the forest of love.
The shape of this forest is very mysterious because it was never designed that way and is naturally heart-shaped.
Various speculations have emerged, interpreting it as a sign that this forest wants to be loved and protected.
Not only is the shape of this protected forest unique, but the contents inside the forest are also no less interesting.
There is a rock that the locals call Batu belah or crying stone, because it has clear springs that never run out even in the dry season in the forest.
In this forest area there are also traces of Japanese heritage, in the form of a water dam which is now used as a source of clean water by visitors and local residents.
In ancient Japanese times, this place was thought to be used to observe the city area and enemy ships coming towards Tanjungpinang.
Because here, you can see the view of the city of Tanjung Pinang from above, see the ships passing by, coming and going to Tanjungpinang.
There are hereditary myths that are believed by the surrounding population.
